ECE scribes hit awards in COPRE ’09

Geed Beronibla and Mark Anthony Yamada both electronics engineering students
of Filamer Christian College earned titles in the PIA-6 College Press Conference ’09 at Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iloilo City, Nov. 26.

Just this academic year, both of them were able to pass the qualifying exam of the Hillside Echo, the official school publication. Currently, they are the editorial assistants in the HSE publication.

At the same time, Beronibla is one of the editors-in-chief and Yamada is a pool writer of the Postscript, the departmental publication of the College of Computer Studies.

Beronibla, a third year student clinched the gold medal in News Writing Filipino.

Meanwhile, second year student Yamada was one of the candidates in the search for Ms. and Mr. COPRE ’09 where he took the Best in Talent award.

The said event was participated by the different school publications in the region.
